This means always a compromise, a high frequency will mean that the Fe sensitivity will suffer and a low frequency will mean that the stainless steel sensitivity will suffer. Now this is from the past. The SDII 30 and SDII 45 are using a new technology with more frequencies simultaneously! This will result in amazingly high sensitivities for all kinds of metal contaminations.
